Stop judging yourself

When it comes to our work, we are our owns toughest judges. We rarely judge another by the same standards. But we love to compare and diminish our own efforts. you have probably used or thought these phrases at some point in time: it’s not good enough, it’s already been done way more exceptional than I can, she/he is way better  at it. We judge before we create, we stop ourselves from being amazing, from making the world around us a bit better, a bit more beautiful. We think that what have to offer is rarely enough and leave it to someone else, because their skillset is probably greater anyway.

We often think that somebody else can do the job much better than we can. That person that’s already doing what you want has probably had the same thought. The only different is that they didn’t let it stop them. They
offered the world what they had anyways. And that is the key to success. To start and go for the things you desire even though you think it’s already been done. You need to keep your eyes on the prize and stop caring about what others do. No matter what field you’re in, the market is never saturated. If every coffee place thought to themselves that there was already a place to drink coffee, you’d end up with one. If every car dealership thought that there already was a place you could get a car, you’d have one. Can you imagine how
much marvelous things we’d missing out on if everyone thought ‘it’s already been done’. If it’s already done, then do it better, do it differently, do it the way you envision it.

The inner judge Judy has a very loud voice and is quite hard to ignore, but is not real and you can talk back to it. Being rejected by yourself or others is not a sign of inadequacy. It means you gave it a try, it wasn’t the right match, the right time, the right product for that target. Don’t be afraid to ask for feedback, this is a way to learn and improve. Reframe your current situation and direct it to something more effective. Don’t
let something like a rejection set you back, shape your own story, don’t live by someone else’s narrative.

We are the stories we believe about ourselves. Why not makeit a masterpiece and being the hero of your own book? If you want to be a professional and successful in your field then you have to start producing and stop thinking you’re not good enough. The best things in life come without judgement. You’re never going to get the
results you desire if you go in prejudged, if you’ve already made up your mind about the turn of events.
Start in your own way. Believe in your own process, how people perceive your work is based on their preferences and previous experiences. Neither of which you can control. So you might as well do it the way it works you.
